Amalie DiMiceli was raised in Phoenix, Arizona and has primarily studied and worked in veterinary medicine. Over the last few years, she has embraced her artistic nature; taking art classes in the Maricopa Community College System, participating in local art workshops and volunteering with the Arizona Artists Guild. She enjoys creating sculpture and mixed media art while taking an experimental approach and using a diverse range of media.

Her work explores minimalist three-dimensional forms in metal, wood, and paper media. She is particularly drawn to welding and the challenges of shaping and fusing metal. She often uses reclaimed or scrap materials, transforming the overlooked into something purposeful.

Travel, natural landscapes, animal subjects and current events influence her work. Her background as a veterinary radiologist shapes the visual and emotional language of the pieces; inspired by anatomy, diagnostic imagery and the human-animal bond. She is interested in the hidden frameworks of living systems and how those organic structures and relationships can be translated into balanced, physical forms.
